and now i'm officially a mama of a pre-school student. how on earth is that possible?
today was day 1 and she was super excited and ready to go. again, the backpack was a highlight or the trip there. it carried her disposable camera, her something green and one last form that i needed to return. the camera is for her to be able to document her artwork, block structures, friends, etc. and although i'd love to take credit for the idea, it was actually a request from the teacher. she was also asked to bring something green for the first day and she chose her magnifying glass. i can only imagine what story she told when it was her turn to share with the class.
when i went to pick her up, i had to go and retrieve her from beside the turtle habitat. she's quite enamored with the class pet. i'll give you one guess as to who is going to volunteer her family to keep lizzie the turtle over the holiday breaks. especially as when i had almost retrieved C, i was then retreiving L who was had also become a card carrying member of the turtle's fan club. when i asked her if she met any new friends she mentioned gigi (who she had mentioned after her practice session) and sadie (who she adores from her sunday school class). i also asked what she learned and after careful consideration, she exclaimed "god created EVERYTHING!" the joy of sending your child to a christian preschool!
as we were leaving, her teacher told me that she had been a good friend during class. so awesome to hear glowing words about your child from their teacher. the first time of many occurances, i'm sure.

pre-school? already? crazy.
love that she's going to a christian school. i went to one pre-school through 8th grade. the same one my mom + her sisters went to AND that my grandfather attended as well :)

This is awesome! Is this pre-k at the same place she'll go to kindergarten? what fun! i want so badly to send Leo to a catholic pre-k, but alas - there aren't any in town! Maybe we'll check out the Lutheran pre-k. :)
