today it's about remembering. about not taking moments like a daddy and his baby girl stealing a few moments before bath time to play on the floor. and the shrieks of giggles that ensued.
10 years ago today, i remember first hearing the news as i turned on the television to watch good morning america. i first heard the words describing what was taking place before being able to snag my glasses to see what was happening. i had stayed up most of the night before working on the first part of my undergrad thesis project that i was supposed to be presenting in a matter of hours. i watched the second tower fall in the environmental design office surrounded by classmates.
today i'm remembering those that lost their lives, their families and the many heroes that rushed to assist those in need. and hoping that our children will never know another september 11th.
