on saturday, we learned that L loved corn on the cob. the girls ate earlier so that they could play outside and andy grilled dinner for the two of us which we enjoyed while watching them. except this one decided that stealing bites of corn was much more fun than playing with her sister and the little boy next door. she'd go back and forth between her daddy and i saying, "corn! corn!"
we had bought the corn at the farmer's market on saturday and had a few ears left that i decided to serve with dinner on tuesday. L decided to make a meal out of it and really wanted nothing to do with her dinner except for her corn. which she picked clean.
a crazy turn of events as C has never really cared for corn on the cob although she loves corn otherwise. but apparently seeing her younger sister enjoying it so much, she decided she might be onto a good thing. if only they would've discovered this tasty treat earlier in the summer instead of at the end of the growing season!

Too cute!

She looks absolutely adorable! At what age did she start being able to eat corn on the cob?

catching up on your life, with my little man by my feet. swear he just looked at L eating corn and said her name...probably not, but here's hoping. we miss you all. i have a basic, but very satisfying recipe with corn (for L) and ground chuck (for A) if you're interested... an old Larson favorite.
